Dearest samba students,
We hope you are happy and healthy during this time of COVID-19. We plan on continuing our weekly classes at the Dance Complex and Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre. Here is what these studios are doing to keep the space clean and safe for all of us:
Dance Complex
In additional to our regular cleaning procedures we have introduced the following measures:
- We are encouraging staff, faculty and the dance community to stay home if they present symptoms
- We have engaged 2 additional professional cleaners to assist in the deeper cleaning of the building
- Staff and volunteers are regularly wiping down all lobby and public areas.
- Instructional hand-washing signs are up in every bathroom
- Every studio already has both antibacterial sanitizer bottles as well as tubs of disinfectant wipes and we are reminding everyone to wipe down surfaces and equipment used at the beginning AND end of each studio use.
- Front desk staff are ready to replenish supplies as needed or on request.
Jose Mateo
Performing additional cleaning of surfaces, ballet barres, and bathrooms. They have added disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer at the front desk. The Church that owns the building has enhanced cleaning practices in place as well.
