Calling all samba students!

The annual Wake Up the Earth festival in Jamaica Plain is a fun, outdoor event to celebrate spring and immerse yourself in music and dance. It is also a chance for YOU to get on stage with SambaViva! Choreography will be taught in class during the month of April in preparation for a student showcase (see video below). Vamos lá, gente!

When: Saturday, May 2, 2015 (rain date May 3rd)
Arrival Time: 1 PM
Performance Time: 2 PM on the Sun Stage at Amory and New Minton Street (festival goes all day, starting at noon!)
Where: Southwest Corridor Park, Jamaica Plain (outside of the Stony Brook T Station, orange line)
Other things to know:

  • Parking is non-existent. Please arrive by other means.
  • This festival is outdoors, so be prepared for heat or chill.
  • Great for kids so bring ‘em along.
  • Enjoy food, music and performances all day!
